Prodo Labs publishes a new article in Transplantation Proceedings regarding its success in processing large quantities of human islets from research pancreas donors with long cold ischemia times.

Prodo Labs has published its most recent results of processing and culturing human islets with an average of 14 hours of cold ischemia. This duration of cold ischemia, prior to islet processing, have proven difficult to complete with high quality islets without large losses. Prodo Labs’ high quality tissue culture reagents and methods of processing permit excellent recovery of high quality islets from these donors. This paper was presented at the last International Pancreas and Islet Transplantation Association meeting in Venus, Italy in September, 2009.
