Prodo Labs and the Scharp-Lacy Research Institute collaborate to increase the numbers of high quality human islets for distribution through a new contract with the National Institute for Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health called the Interactive Islet Distribution Program (IIDP).
New contracts have been announced by the IIDP to begin supplying NIDDK funded diabetes investigators with primary human islets processed from human research pancreases. Prodo Labs is the only corporate laboratory involved in this effort in its partnership with the Scharp-Lacy Research Institute.
